National Families in Action: Leadership
Council for Foundation Drug Policy Solutions

Sue led National Families in Action (NFIA), which helped lead the national parent movement. With Wake Forest’s School of Medicine, NFIA co-founded the Addiction Studies Program for journalists and for the states that ran from 1999 to 2014. In 2014, NFIA created The MarijuanaReport.org, a website that tracks the marijuana story unfolding across the nation and a weekly e-newsletter of the same name. In 2018, NFIA’s Science Advisory Board of world-renowned scientists recorded 25 podcasts for the public about marijuana. Now retired, she wrote, “Marketing Pleasure: How Addictive Drug Industries Tell Big Lies to Make Big Profits.” She is on the Leadership Council for the Foundation for Drug Policy Solutions.
